Point of View
Every night as we sit at the table for dinner we watch the sun go down. Through the window, past the playset, and through the mesquite trees is typically a beautiful pink and orange sunset. As we were eating dinner one night Reagan started saying: "That Pink. That Orange." I kept looking around to find those colors and then realized the sunset she was looking at out he window was a beautiful shade of pink and orange. She was amazed by sun going down. She now says "the sun go night night." Children see things in the most amazing way! And God paints beautiful sunsets!
Not to mention the amazing job he did on these 2 little blessings!

Ringing in the New Year
It's a whole new year for life to take on a whole new meaning. 2009 ended quietly with the 3 of us home alone. Reagan enjoyed a bedtime of 7:30 and Aaron and I enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, hot chocolate with whipped cream, and good conversation. 2010 will hold a lot of changes for our family. We are expecting a baby boy in May. Not only will that mean 2 babies under the age of 2, but we also have to figure out what to do with a little boy! Aaron will be changing shifts at work. He will now be on B-shift, which really doesn't change things for our family, but we'll miss seeing all the guys on C-shift. As for my job...no real changes which suits me just fine! The new little boy, who has no name should be born in early May. So...that means that I'll have a lot of the summer off for maternity leaving. I think we;ll be making a few trips to the mountains for camping and so Aaron can race again. Should be interesting with two little bitty ones in the camper, not to mention on a mountain! YIKES!!! Should be interesting and we'll keep you posted!
Hope everyone has a blessed 2010!

Christmas time is here!
Christmas morning came early for me, Nana, and G-pa (recently changed his name). But, for Reagan and Daddy...it came a little later in the morning. I woke up around 7:30 to finish making cinnamon rolls that I had started the night before. Nana woke up soon after to finish her breakfast casserole so it would be ready to eat when Reagan and Daddy woke up. Santa must have come during the night because there were all kinds of goodies under the Christmas tree when we woke up. It sure was hard not to peak! When Reagan woke up we all sat down for breakfast and drank our cup off coffee before the madness began! Reagan was eating way too slow for Aaron. He was definitely more anxious to open gifts than Reagan was. After all the breakfast was finished we let Reagan open her gifts from Santa. She got a wagon and puzzles and books and a new pair of shoes. She also had a stocking full of goodies like a new toothbrush and spoons and forks and new toy cars. Nana and G-pa got her some diapers and wipes (always a favorite of Mommy's) and some more books and a dog that sings and more forks and spoons! Of all the gifts...I think the forks and spoons were her favorite! She never put them down. After Reagan was done we all took turns opening gifts and stockings. Then the cinnamon rolls were ready. Reagan played and played and played until she couldn't stand it any longer. She took a nap while Nana and I got lunch ready and Daddy and G-pa went outside to set up the deer feeder. After lunch we finally got dressed and went outside to enjoy our white Christmas. Aaron and Reagan and her toast went for a ride on the four wheeler. The cold didn't seem to bother her one bit! She really seemed to like it. After some outside play we came back in for our dessert before Nana and G-pa had to go home. It was a really fun day full of excitement and great big smiles from our favorite little girl! What a very Merry Christmas!

Yep...still have the toast!
P.S. We think the toast had something to do with her new tooth that she got for Christmas!
Barr Family Christmas
On Christmas Eve the Barr family gets together at Mom & Dad's for a little Christmas celebration. We always eat and then gather in the living room for the Christmas story (The REAL one, not the movie) sing a few Christmas songs and then Mom & Dad and the younger ones open gifts. Some where in there we take LOTS of pictures and this year we watched a really neat slide show of the family through the years! This is what Christmas should really be about!
Reagan opening her present. She got a cute new towel and a neat book from Jeremy.
Reagan hanging out with the boys.
Playing with the wrapping paper that everybody just threw away! What were they thinking?
Mom & Dad with their kids (minus Wesley who is in SA with his family this year)
Picture takers
The Barr cousins (minus a few)
The story behind this picture...during the slide show Reagan was sitting with Jeremy who was sharing his Dr. Pepper with her. He said "I think she got some on her shirt." No big deal! But, when the lights came back on...it was REALLY on her shirt! Front and back! Too funny! Obviously nobody was too bothered by it and it washed out perfectly! Maybe we should get that hole in Reagan's chin repaired!
Aaron and Glendall playing baseball on Mom's new Wii. Dangerous sport!
Reagan making us some dinner while baseball is being played.
After all the fun and excitement of Christmas Eve we went home and Reagan crashed! She played so hard and had a great time! Very Merry Christmas Eve!
Let it Snow!
Reagan had a chance to play in the snow for the first time on Christmas Eve. What a fun Christmas present! We had been praying for a White Christmas all month and God answered with a big "Here you go!" Abilene and the "Big Country" were actually under blizzard warnings!!! After working Christmas Eve morning my commute home lasted 1.5 hours and included a lot of sliding sideways and a top speed of 23 miles per hour. All the while being passed by huge pick-up trucks loaded down with hay! After I got home and we all took a nap...we headed outside to enjoy what we had prayed for. The snow had stopped falling and the wind calmed down just a little bit for us to enjoy the snow.
Reagan wasn't too sure what to think at first and she sure couldn't figure out how to move her feet in this stuff!
Eventually she just brave and decided to investigate it a little closer.
Hmmm...what does this taste like?!
She even got to leave her mark in the snow on her picnic table! It was such a fun 5 minutes in the snow! We were so happy that our prayers were answered the way they were and we enjoyed our White Christmas Eve!

It's a Boy!
We went to the doctor today and all is well with Baby Barr #2. And...it's a Boy! Which means I can still say that Reagan is my favorite little girl! =) The doctor also said that he is right on track for length and weight and everything looks great! So...Yeah! We are very excited, but have no name and have not really started this whole planning process. Oh well! We have time!
This evening after dinner time and after Reagan's bath time...we had a few more minutes to play. During that time Reagan decided to show off her walking skills as she walked across the living room to me with her arms stretched out and a HUGE smile on her face! So precious! After ahe made it to me we cheered and Reagan clapped!
What a FUN day! Being a Mommy is GREAT!!!
