Llano River State Park

We took out first camping trip in the new camper in March.  Though there are no pictures of the camper...we had a great time.  Aaron and I did some "mountain biking" and floated the river.  When I say "mountain biking"  I basically mean we just rode it faster than we did the next day when I pulled the trailer with the 2 kids in it.  So...I guess we'll say we rode on some dirt paths!  We also made cooked (paleo appropriate) outside, made s'mores (not so much paleo), and went "hiking" (dirt paths) with the BOB.  And...oh yeah!  We played in the river!  Enjoy...

On the Playground

The sun is staying up later and, therefore, so are the kids!  But...how much fun enjoying the sun and playing on the playground?!

So Happy Together

I love having 2 kids so close in age!  They, for the most part, play really well together and communicate in their own little way that I only wish I could understand.  That being said...I have had to learn to let go of having a perfectly clean house and let go of having a living room free of toys.

My new goal in life...ENJOY EVERY MOMENT TO THE FULLEST!
Whether that be my kids pulling every toy out of the cabinet, throwing water on the floor during bath, throwing yogurt on their heads during dinner, or a quiet weekend away with my husband...I will let go of all my worries!

My mother-in-law gave me a sign that has been my inspiration...
"Please excuse the noise and mess my kids are busy making memories"

That sign hangs on the table at the front door where you will also find a basketball goal, a dinosaur, and a tricycle!

Another inspiration came from a sermon at church about fearing God and NOT man.   I know now that my cleanliness of my house and my personal appearance is from my fear of what other people think of me!  My desire to appear to have it "all together" was/is actually dragging me down!

I'm still working on both of these tasks and I have a VERY LONG way to go!   But, I can do it for the love of my family.  I'm no longer going to be the mom inside cleaning while my babies are outside riding the four wheeler with Daddy and "cooking" in Reagan's room!  I'm no longer going to be as critical of myself and my abilities.  That's a heavy undertaking for me but...check out these little lives...

Outside fun
Reagan saying: "Come on Mommy!"
Sweet little boy
So worth it!

Not to leave my husband out either...he's had to deal with me through my craziest times!  Could ask for a greater husband and best friend!  He's my support and my encouragement to "LET GO!"

Go Pirates!

HUGE news around small town West Texas...Eula Pirates Boys Basketball win state!!!
Though we weren't there to actually witness the State win, Reagan and Adam had a front row seat at most of the local games!  They were captivated by the players, the cheerleaders, the mascot, and all the fans.

No secret

So...it's really no secret that our kiddos are a little wild and fearless.  I'm sure most kids at the ages of 2 years and 9 months are often listed in this category, but all I know are my own.  Adam pulls up and attempts to climb on everything!  He's taken quite a few tumbles, but he never lets it stop him from trying again!
Then there's Reagan...from the time she was born we knew we had our hands full!  She's NEVER moved slow.   She had perfect head control at 1 month, was crawling around 4 months, cruising furniture around 6 months, and walking 1 week before her first birthday.  Nothing slows her down and to this day...she shows no fear!
What a life!  Life with 2 fast and furious kiddos has proved to be one blessing after another!

My Funny Valentines

Aaron and I rarely "celebrate" Valentines Day.  However, the kids do have a party at daycare that they get all dressed up for and exchange candy and cards.  So...in a way...we celebrate with them.

This year they got all kinds of gifts and candy from daycare, grandparents, and their Auntie Leah.  Needless to say...Mommy and Daddy bought NO candy!  They each got a new outfit to wear to the party and lots of love and hugs!  What a great day to enjoy my Valentines!

9 months old

I can't believe our little man is already 9 months old!  And to think...when Reagan was 9 months old we found out there was going to be baby #2!  Not this time though!  We are quite content and happy with our little family.

At nine months old you can do so much...
-You wear 9-12 months in clothes
-You wear a size 2 shoe
-You are standing and cruising the furniture
-You are pulling yourself up in your bed (and everywhere else)
-You finally have one tooth!
-You love to get into EVERYTHING your sister has
-You have survived your first 4 snow days
-You love fruit, yogurt, carrots, spinach, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and squash
-You are not a fan of rice or macaroni
-You could probably eat a whole chicken if you just had some more teeth
You are the light of our lives and we all love you very much.  We are so proud of all your accomplishments and look forward to many more!

Happy 9 months little man!
