Go Daddy!

We left at 11:00 PM on Thursday, May 21st for Angel Fire, NM.  We drove all night and arrived at our campsite around 10 AM on Friday, May 22nd.  Reagan was a trooper!  She slept the whole way there until we stopped at Burger King for breakfast and Reagan got her first crown.  She wasn't sure what to think about that!  We got the camper up just in time for the rain.
Reagan and I stayed in the camper that first day.  We ate lunch, took a nap, got dressed, and just had a lazy day.  When Aaron got back we made dinner and enjoyed listening to the rain on the camper.  Reagan took some time to play with her toys.
Then...her and Aaron looked at some reading material from the campsite.  Aaron read it and Reagan ate it!
The next morning, we woke up to make breakfast for Aaron.  It was still raining so Reagan and I took the opportunity to have a lazy morning while Aaron went up to the mountain early.
This was Daddy's regular wake up call!  How can anyone have a grumpy morning when you have such a sweet alarm clock?!
That afternoon, the weather cleared up and we got the chance to go play on the mountain with Daddy.   Reagan was loving the attention from everybody up on the mountain and Aaron was loving having his little girl to watch him practice.

The next day was race day.  The previous day Daddy showed us where we should go to watch.  So...Reagan and I set out with BOB (the stroller) about an hour before the race to climb the mountain that Daddy would be riding down.  Mommy had to stop a few times on the way up.  It was a little hard to breathe and a few places were so steep Mommy had to pull BOB up backwards.  But, we made it!!!  We pulled out a jacket to sit on and just waited for Daddy.
Here's a video.  Please...no comments about the videography!  I'm not to good with the camera! =)  Here's a brief over view of what you're about to see.  Aaron comes off of a jump (Angel Fire sign) that is approx. "6 feet down and 15 feet out" and lands it.  Sort of... Somehow he gets off course and goes through the course tape.  (Meanwhile, in the video...you're looking at trees.)  The course tape gets wrapped around his neck and he has to stop to get out of it.  He eventually gets free, but gets passed, before he gets going again.  However, he did place 4th and is qualified for nationals!  YEAH!

After all the fun of climbing up a mountain and then back down...we went back to the camper for a little bath.  It was a great trip and we're loving the camper!
Aaron is planning another trip to Crested Butte, CO.  We won't get to go, but we're really hoping to go to Nationals in Granby, CO in July!  We'll keep you all updated!
